If George Costanza lived in San Francisco, this is how he would dress. Classic Costanza plaid shirt and tie meets San Francisco skinny jeans, laced-up boots, and tailor-cut coat.

The Heuristic Squelch, the Cal humor magazine, did a parody of the blog in their January 2010 issue. As promised on Thursday, here is a scan of it as well as of the magazine's cover. If you want to snag your own copy, you can pick one up on Sproul or check their website. The parody is on the inside of the back cover. Believe me, it's well-worth a read. Also, thanks to Evante from The Daily Clog for the heads-up!
Attention Berkeley: coolness has spread! Although not highly contagious, it has several important side-effects, including an appropriate level of confidence and a generally relaxed demeanor. This young man is a case in point: his expression, his stance, the hand in his pocket, his classic jeans and Chucks get-up all ooze the four-letter c-word. (Type B's, you've been warned.)

This is the second photo I've taken since the blog's post-rainy weather resurrection. I like how this girl made a simple black-layering act more interesting by including the off-center green fringe scarf. She's even got a Cal umbrella to boot (go bears).

I sincerely apologize for the week-long hiatus. After returning to Berkeley from sunny LA, I was devastated to hear that it was expected to rain for a week. Today, following the morning showers, I was able to capture three photos that will be up in the next few days. In other words, the blog is back!

This is the last photo I took while at home in Los Angeles. I like how she was not afraid to mix patterns and still maintained a consecutive color scheme. (Remember ROYGBIV? She's got the three colors in the center down. Bill Nye would be proud.)

This is the second girl I spotted while strolling down the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. She has created an outfit with a somewhat romantic feel -- the tights' rich maroon color and floral designs, the textured headband, and the heels with the ankle-straps all add to this delicate, yet modern get-up. Thoughts?

I spotted this girl as I was taking a stroll down the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. If her brilliant red hair doesn't get you, then her lace blouse will.

It sure is a small world. This girl is a case in point: she's a Cal alum with a degree in Mass Communications and a former member of BARE Magazine. She currently lives in LA and works at LF on Robertson Blvd, which is where her whole outfit is from. What are the chances I'd run into someone like her?! Slim, I'd say. But lucky just the same.

Although a bit unbelievable, I did spot this duo wearing his-and-her matching blazers. I wonder if an outlined silhouette is a requirement to be friends with them. Hmm..

Like the namesake batteries for the Energizer bunny, this photo is what kept me going. It gave me the motivation I needed to keep going out to take photos, despite the relative emptiness of LA streets during the middle of the day. That said, I love how everything in her outfit looks so deliberate.

This is the first of a week-long series of posts featuring photos I took at home in Los Angeles. I spotted these leopard beauties while walking by a furniture store on Santa Monica Blvd. Thoughts?

I think I might just have to add this girl's outfit to the cool collection. There's just something so relaxed and original about her get-up. The killer Doc Martens don't hurt either.
Okay, so this lady's name is probably not Jill.. but it's a cute title, right? Maybe not. But her frills are -- who knew you could include so many ruffles in a single outfit? It's kind of like the guy with all those buttons.
