Eat in Berkeley: Pho K & K

Chè Ba Màu made with three types of beans in a syrup of jelly and coconut milk

Pho K & K is a Vietnamese restaurant located on Telegraph, just south of Dwight, in Berkeley. I've visited it several times over the years, usually opting for their deliciously spicy Bún bò Huế soup.

I've stopped by more frequently in the past few weeks after learning that they serve Chè Ba Màu. This is a dessert made with three types of beans, jelly, and coconut milk that I've been craving ever since I first tried it at a Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose. Pho K & K's is just like I remember: after mixing all the ingredients together, you're left with a sweet, coconut-flavored treat with perfectly soft beans and jelly throughout. If you're a fan of desserts with red azuki beans and coconut milk, this one's got your name all over it.

Next time I stop by, I'll most likely order the Chè Ba Màu again. If you've visited Pho K & K, what have you tried?
