Eat in San Francisco: RT Rotisserie

I visited RT Rotisserie, a casual restaurant specializing in rotisserie chicken on the corner of Oak and Franklin in Hayes Valley, for the first time in late March. Since this is a spin-off of Rich Table—a Michelin-starred restaurant just a block away on Gough and Oak—I knew I was in for a treat.

With my knowledgable dining companion as our guide, we ordered a few dishes: the Roasted Brussels Sprouts, the Rotisserie Rice Bowl, and the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich. These were, without a doubt, the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. They were roasted, made with garlic aioli, cotija, and lemon, and just the right amount of decadent.

I've also been thinking about the Rice Bowl for a while. All of the bowls come with rotisserie fat rice, pickled onions, cabbage, cucumber, radish, seeds, and herbs, while I chose rotisserie chicken as my protein and Nancy's BBQ sauce to dress it. The rice was hearty and fatty in a way you knew experts made it, while the chicken was perfectly cooked. The fresh vegetables, sesame seeds, dill, and herbs added crunch and breadth to an already impeccably made dish. My dining companion loved his Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich—made with garlic aioli, pickled onion, mixed greens, and ciabatta—as well.

I will definitely be returning soon, probably ordering the Rice Bowl and Roasted Brussels Sprouts again. If you've been to RT Rotisserie recently, what do you recommend trying?
