Eat in San Francisco: Tselogs

Longsilog with Hamonado-style longanisa sausage, garlic rice, and a fried egg

A couple weeks ago, I visited Tselogs, a Filipino hole-in-the-wall found on Jones and Geary in the Tenderloin, for the first time with a friend.

They offer a variety of Silog dishes that come with a side of garlic rice and a fried egg. I ordered the Longsilog featuring the juicy Hamonado-style Longanisa sausage pictured here. It was quite good. I tried to make the perfect bite with a bit of sausage, rice, and egg in each forkful. My friend enjoyed her Shangsilog, which came with pork lumpia egg rolls.

If you've visited Tselogs recently, what do you recommend trying?
