What’s your name? Where do you live? What do you do?
Brittany – SoMa
Whitney – Hayes Valley
We both work in media and plan advertising campaigns.
How did you get into blogging?
We first met while working together at a media agency about 7 years ago. We quickly realized that we both loved fashion as we were the only ones at our jobs that would ever dress up for work. We were actively following quite a few fashion blogs at the time but wanted to start a blog that focused on more work appropriate attire.
How would you describe your style?
We answered this question separately but both ended up writing "classic with a twist/classic with an edge." We tend to look for options that will work well in the office and out on the weekends so our overall style tends to lean towards more classic pieces with bright and unique accessories added on.
How has living in San Francisco influenced your style?
SF weather has had a HUGE influence on our style. It never gets too hot or too cold here so we tend to dress in a constant state of Spring/Fall style. While we do miss cute summer dresses and shorts from time to time, we must say that we now have a great collection of light jackets and have really improved our layering technique!
What do you like the most about blogging?
The best part about blogging is by far the people we have met. Blogging has allowed us to meet so many talented and driven people and collaborate with brands that we love.
What benefits and challenges have you experienced blogging with a best friend?
We honestly don't know how people don't blog with a best friend! It's so nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and inspire you to keep going. It can get tricky sometimes between all of the work but we make time to focus on our friendship too as that's the most important thing!
What have you learned from blogging?
That hard work and patience pay off in the long run, and consistency is key!
What do you do when you’re not blogging?
When we are not blogging or working you can find us at brunch (brunch is a must!), out hiking, or taking trips up to wine country!!
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
We will actually have some pretty big announcements coming in the near future! We are currently working on a start-up together that we hope to launch later this year that will be focused on fashion and tech. We are very excited to share that with everyone!
