Preview of BARE Magazine's Seventh Issue

As many of you loyal readers know, I'm the Blog Editor for BARE Magazine, UC Berkeley's premiere fashion and lifestyle publication. With its seventh issue to be released in May, here's an exclusive preview of what you can expect to see. As someone who has already seen the entire issue, I wholeheartedly believe that this is only a fraction of the excellent articles and photo shoots you'll find inside. (Read: this issue is really, really good!)

If you're interested in getting your hands on your own copy, you can either pick one up at the Cal Student Store in May or at BARE Magazine's Launch Party, which will be held Thursday, May 6th from 9-12pm at Hotel Durant. Check out the Facebook event for more details about the party. If you are not near Berkeley, you can order a copy through MagCloud in May (see BARE's website for the link).

FAST's Spring 2010 Fashion Show

As mentioned in a previous post, this past Sunday I was invited to cover Fashion and Student Trends' Spring 2010 fashion show. The show highlighted the works of seventeen UC Berkeley student designers and over seventy student models. Many of the designs surpassed my expectations, leaning towards the more professional end of the spectrum. Overall, I had a great time attending the show. Here are some of the photographs I took backstage, of the guests, and of the show. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them. (Note: The first few images of the show are a little rough. I found a better spot to shoot the designs during the latter half of the show. I was also unable to showcase every outfit and every collection due to these initial technical difficulties.)
