It's been a while since I've tried the deep dish pizza at Zachary's Chicago Pizza, a popular pizza restaurant with a few locations, one of which is on Grand and Boulevard in Grand Lake.
On my most recent visit, my dining companion and I ordered the Barbecue Chicken Pizza made with chicken breast, red onions, cilantro, barbecue sauce, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheese. It was quite good. The barbecue sauce created a nice sweetness that I enjoyed. I liked the Spring Salad, a refreshing way to flesh out what could have felt like a heavy meal. I tried one of their draft cocktails: the Penicillin, which was made with scotch, ginger, honey, lemon, cardamom, nutmeg, and almond bitters. It was surprisingly dynamic for being on draft.
