Work It, FAST: Gretchen

What's your position/contribution to FAST?
Model

What are you most excited about the runway show?
I always look forward to seeing pieces where the craftsmanship just floors you. I've seen so many outfits in past shows that I can't even begin to imagine how the designer made them. I also really love to find out what song each designer chooses to go with their line. I think that's an aspect of the show that isn't emphasized too much but yet really adds a key element to the presentation of a designer's line.

Work It, FAST: Tina

What's your position/contribution to FAST?
Model

What are you most excited about the runway show?
I am working with the same designers that I did in the fall semester. I am really excited to see their work evolve and hopefully I will be able to bring their works of art to life on the runway. I love the fierceness and fabulosity both the male and female models bring to the runway each time. The theme, EXPOSE, is definitely up to interpretation and I am so excited to just see how everything ties together on the big night!

Work It, BARE: Stephen

What's your position/contribution to the magazine?
Photographer for the Cover, Americana and accessories photoshoots. Assisted with the 70's photoshoot. Photographed a few article pictures including that of Professor Grigsby and several local businesses.

What are you most excited about the new issue?
Being a photographer, I'm pretty biased and would have to say I'm looking forward to seeing the spreads. I've heard that BARE has produced many photoshoots this semester and am eager to see the final products. BARE has definitely evolved every semester and I can't wait to see how awesome issue 9 will be!

What are you planning on wearing to the BARE Launch Party?
I'll be pretty honest; I'm not a fashionista by any means, at least compared to many of the talented people in BARE. So I'm gonna have to consult with a few friends or stylists prior to the launch.

What are you most excited about the new issue?
I'm excited to see the new photography editorials! BARE Creative always has great and crazy ideas that look amazing in print.

What are you planning on wearing to the BARE Launch Party?
I'll probably wear a two-toned nude and black TNFC dress with black suede platforms wedges. And maybe black thigh highs if the weather keeps this up!

What's your position/contribution to the magazine?

I'm on the Creative and Blog teams and I do styling for the shoots. So far, I've only done one, but I'm super excited to do more next year and in the future! I was involved in the "Summer Daze" photo shoot led by Jonathan Rodriguez and Justine Carreon. And, to my surprise, I got to model too! :)

What are you most excited about the new issue?
I really want to see everyone else's hard work in their unique editorials. I'm super excited to see the rest of the Americana shoot. The cover looks amazing!

What are you planning on wearing to the BARE Launch Party?
Going to dig out from my closet a bunch of clothes, and just throw them on the day-of.. which is what I usually do. So it'll be a surprise. :)

Panel Discussion at FIDM

Yesterday I had the special privilege of being a part of a panel discussion about fashion blogs at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco. Along with Ashley of Fashionably Ashley and Lorraine of SF Indie Fashion, we talked about our blogs, how we got started, and how we connect with our followers, among other topics. The students in the audience had great questions for us and I definitely enjoyed interacting with them and sharing what I love. This was a great experience for me and I'd like to thank Ashley, FIDM's Student Activities Coordinator, for inviting me to be a part of it. Plus, I got to sit in a director's chair!
