Cappuccino
A couple weekends ago, I stopped by Red Bay Coffee, a coffee shop on the corner of International and Fruitvale in Fruitvale, for the first time. Known for their inclusive hiring practices and roasting locally, Red Bay Coffee is a pioneering brand often found on lists of Black-owned businesses worth checking out.
I tried the cappuccino, which I liked. What I really enjoyed was their beautiful space, which at one point was used as a bank. The cafe features a marriage of the old and new: the tall ceilings are lined with columns on the outside, while the interior is made with completely new materials.
