Phoebe pizza made with Ezzo pepperoni, marinara, red onion, and mozzarella
Right: Happy hour sparkling white wine (foreground) and Wavy Wines ‘LS Gris’ Sonoma, California 2021 Chardonnay+Pinot Gris (skin contact blend)
I stopped by the Outta Sight Pizza pop-up at Fig & Thistle, a wine bar and dispensary on Gough at Ivy in Hayes Valley, for the first time with my dining companion in late July. Outta Sight has been serving delicious pizzas here since 2020.
We tried the Phoebe pizza, which was made with Ezzo pepperoni, marinara, red onion, and mozzarella. It was as good as it looks. Maybe since we sat in the parklet and I didn't really see the bar's interior, I was surprised they were able to sling a pipin' hot pizza with such fresh ingredients out of a wine bar. (Where is the pizza oven?!) For drinks, I ordered the happy hour sparkling white wine, while my dining companion had the sole skin contact option from the regular menu. Both were quite refreshing and paired with the pizza perfectly.
I would definitely return to Outta Sight either at the pop-up or their permanent location at 422 Larkin, which should be opening in September. If you've had Outta Sight or visited Fig & Thistle recently, what do you recommend trying?
