Work It, FAST: Sherrie

What's your position/contribution to FAST (designer, model, PR, show committee, etc)?
Designer

What are you most excited about the runway show?
I'm super excited about actually seeing my clothes out on the runway because this is my first time designing for FAST. I've never done it before, and for me it's analogous to watching one's children grow up. That sounds strange, but that's really how excited I am!

Check out the Facebook event for the show!

Work It, Los Angeles: The Lace Bow

GILMORE & 3RD
As promised, this is the first of a few photos I've taken while in Los Angeles. (Please forgive me for it being out of focus.) I appreciate how this girl has revamped an ordinary black look with a huge lace bow and a pop of red.

一百! 一百! 一百!

DOE LIBRARY
I'd like to begin this post with the words of the Laney Boggs, Rachel Leigh Cook's artistically-talented though socially-isolating character in the 1999 super-classic teenage rom-com She's All That: I really broke out the big guns with that one (skip to 5:34 - 7:16 for the theatrical magic). "That one" being my use of 中文 (Mandarin Chinese) in the title. I can assure you I have my reasons for going bilingual: (1) I got to use the "bow" tag for this post and (2) this is post #100! Snazzed up to celebrate this wonderful cyber-event, this girl has even pulled out the big guns herself: a fur-collared coat delicately covering her dress underneath and an eye-catching bow headband.
