ORDINARY PEOPLE, SOMEWHAT ORDINARY CLOTHES

WHEELER HALL

This is the way guys are supposed to dress: neutrals complementing blues, classic cuts defining dapper, and carefully chosen accessories bringing the whole outfit together. Like one reader said in the survey referring to the people photographed, they're "ordinary people in somewhat ordinary clothes, no(t) super fancy and super expensive stuff I wouldn't even be allowed to touch." I'll take this as a compliment. Yes, my subjects may not have just stepped off a runway at Paris Fashion Week, but they still have a little something that I find worth capturing. This guy is a case in point.

Also, I have a new goal: to attain 100 Facebook fans by March 31st. The total is currently at 90. Will you be numbers 91 through 100?

This guy was quite a treat to not only photograph, but also just to have a short conversation with. When asked why he chooses to dress the way he does, he said that he wants to differentiate himself, adding that "people dress too casually around here." I'd say that the suave touches of the pocket handkerchief and careful layers certainly highlight his true sense of style.

As promised, here is a photo that I took yesterday, but wasn't able to get around posting until today (I sowwy). This girl was quite a treat to photograph because she was so bubbly and excited when I approached her. As for me, I was thrilled to hear that she's been thinking about starting a fashion blog of her own. I will make sure to be the first to subscribe.

MILESTONE

SPROUL PLAZA

I think it's safe to say that this blog has reached another milestone. I've wanted to capture natural poses and expressions for a while and I think this photo is pretty close to achieving that goal. As this guy was getting ready to be photographed, his phone went off. I captured three photos in that time, this being the last. I chose this photo over others I took when he was ready because of how genuine his reaction and smile are.
