Veggie Combo and Yedoro Tibbs (spicy cubed chicken)

I've been celebrating my birthday with Ethiopian food for years and this year was no exception. While in Los Angeles last month, I visited Merkato Ethiopian Restaurant & Market for the first time with my family. This family-run spot, located on Fairfax near Olympic in the heart of Little Ethiopia, has been in business for over 30 years and was featured on HBO's Insecure.
We ordered what we always get at Ethiopian restaurants: the Veggie Combo, which comes with a variety of lentil dishes, cooked greens, and salads, as well as Yedoro Tibbs, a spicier version of the chicken entree we usually have. Everything was as incredible as expected. We split two Veggie Combos and one chicken plate between the three of us, which was plenty. We scooped up our food with the fresh, spongy injera bread we love. Another birthday made.
I would definitely stop by the next time I'm in town. If you've visited Merkato recently, what do you recommend trying?
